Hello, my name is Jim Mack, I am the Industrial Technology instructor at the Greenbush/Middle River High School. I am currently in my 14th year as an instructor with the school district and personally feel that i couldn't work in a better learning environment than the one we offer here. My wife Lisa and i also look forward to raising our children in Roseau county. We have been married since August of 2009. We currently have a 9 year old boy named Cael as well as a 7 year old daughter named Kendyl. Cael will be in 3rd grade this year and Kendyl will be entering 2nd grade, which they are both very excited for. We are very much an outdoor oriented family as my wife and I both enjoy spending weekends at the lake with the family fishing in both summer and winter. Yes, we also do a lot of hunting throughout the fall season. Our weekends typically consist of spending the majority of our time outdoors and at the cabins. My personal hobbies consist of hunting and fishing of course, but i also enjoy carpentry or building of any sorts, and working at our property. Growing up, my father owned and operated his own construction company where i learned the majority of my hands on skills. During my summers now, I spend my best days with my children at home, doing a little fishing on the weekends, and a little golf when possible.
I was born and raised in Bemidji, where i graduated from high school in 2000. As a student, i competed in both Football and Wrestling. I was also elected senior captain of both sports, which to this day I take great pride in. After graduation of high school, i attended Bemidji State University with the goal of becoming a teacher. I graduated four years later. While a college student, i coached both Football and Wrestling in the Bemidji School District. I wanted to give back to the programs and sports that i benefited so much from. After college graduation, i taught for one year in the Staples-Motley School District before accepting my current job here at GMR. Also, i completed my Masters degree in Education Leadership through Tri-College(Combination of Concordia-Moorhead, NDSU, and MSUM).
Along with teaching, i am also the assistant high school baseball coach at GMR. The 2019-2020 school year should be another good one as always! We as a teaching staff look forward to welcoming your children back into the classrooms. I personally invite you to contact me at anytime if you have any concerns or questions regarding your child or the offerings provided within this great school. I look forward to the opportunity of meeting you, have a great day! Jim Mack
