The course is designed to give students and in-dept study of United States Government and Washington D.C. Close-Up is a trip to Washington D.C. and New York City which focuses on current issues and workings of government. The class and trip is offered every other year and takes place on odd numbered years. The class is taken during homeroom of the year a student chooses to attend Close-Up. Although not required students are strongly recommended to sign up and begin fund raising as freshmen.
