MEET THE GATOR COACHES
Head Coach Kent Christian (Varsity)Coach Christian has been head coach of the softball program for the past 27 years.
He also has coached in both the girls and boys basketball program for the past 27 years
and has been the head coach for the boys the last 19 years. Kent graduated from NDSU,
where he got his education degree and now is a teacher at GMR School. He teaches: Physical
Education, Civics, and Geography. He has also earned a Master Degree in Educational
Leadership from Minnesota State University Mankato.
Kent has been married for 22 years to wife JoAnn and together they have three children,
Mariah (19) and twin boys Ty and Chance (17).
Kent enjoys watching sports, cooking, baseball card collecting, working on the softball
fields, and playing with his kids in his spare time.
Assistant Coach Dave Blazek (JV)Coach Blazek has been coaching softball for 23 years, He coached 2 years of baseball
before he switched to softball. Coach Blazek also coached 3 years of football and 3 years of basketball.Dave graduated from UND with an education degree, and he is now a teacher at the GMR School. He Teaches : Economics, World History, American History, Psychology, and Current Events.
Dave has 2 children, Tessany (18) and Cole (15). He's also been married for 24 years to
Lynette where they live happily together in the town of Greenbush. In his spare time he
