Welcome to my Teacher Page
I'm Tara Kern, the high school math teacher at Greenbush-Middle River. This will be my 16th year teaching. I will be teaching Math 7, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Probability and Statistics, College Statistics, College Algebra, and College Calculus. I am also the coach of the Math League Team and help with the Gator Clay Busters Team.
When I'm not teaching I stay plenty busy. During the winter months I make several trips to go snowboarding!! I have been to multiple resorts in Colorado, Montana, and Whistler/Blackcomb in Canada, as well as many resorts in Minnesota. During the summer I love spending time at our family lake cabin on Rainy Lake. I enjoy camping and fishing and spending time with friends and family.
My husband and I have been married for 10 years, and we have a 5-year-old daughter, Evelyn, who is starting Kindergarten this year, and a 3-year-old son, Oliver, who just got potty-trained!! We also have 2 very spoiled black labs, Cami and Maggie. We have had Cami for 11 years and just got Maggie right before school started so we are working on training her.
