The Northwest Minnesota Art Council's Art Exhibit is now open at the American Legion in Middle River. Please plan to attend! Dates: April 16-27, 2014: Noon-6:00 pm daily. Closed Easter Sunday. FREE ADMISSION. An Artist Reception will be held on Sunday, April 27th from 1:30-3:30 pm.  Ms. KayDell Super will be there accepting her Art Advocate of the Year Award. The movie, Frozen, will be shown at 1:00 this Friday at the GB Public Library!!
The GB Area Community Education and General Community Funds are requesting grant applications.  Forms are available in the office.  They must be postmarked no later than April 30, 2014.

The next Gun Training class will be on Monday, April 21st from 3:45-6:00 at the GB Trap Club.

Life Guard Classes
Looking for a summer job and enjoy spending time at the pool?  Life Guard Classes will be held at the Warroad Pool on Saturday and Sunday, May 17 & 18.  For more information please call the Greenbush City office at 782-2570 or the Warroad Pool at 218-386-6016 to register for Life Guard Classes. Recertification for Life Guards will be offered on Saturday, May 17.  Cost: $150.

A National Guard rep will be visiting some classrooms today between 8:30-12:30.

 The Enger Dance Studio recital will be presented at 6:30 p.m. Thursday April 24th at the Roseau school auditorium and on Friday April 25th in the Badger gym. Both performances are open to the public. 

JOB OPPORTUNITY:  Food Service Aide at the GB Manor.  LifeCare GB Manor has part-time positions available in the Food Service Department.  The hours are from 4:00-8:00 p.m. including every other weekend.  Contact LifeCare to apply.

Chamber Singers will rehearse on Tuesday’s and Friday’s at 11:45.  You are excused at 11:30 to go eat before rehearsal.
Jazz Band will rehearse on Wednesday’s and Thursday’s at 11:45.  You are excused at 11:30 to go eat before rehearsal.

The Welding/Mechanic EGF/TRF tour will be on Wednesday, April 23rd.  These students will be going…Knute G, Gunner G, Thomas H, Mason J, Braxton K, Doug P, Daron S and Preston W.

Juniors – you are providing the drinks for the After Prom Party!  Girls, bring a dozen bottles of water.  Boys, bring a dozen sports drinks (Gatorade or Powerade) or pop – NO energy drinks!  Bring them in to the office or to Roxane Kirkeide anytime between now and April 25th – thank you!

Junior parents…please remember to sign up for either the set-up or clean-up for the Prom meal with Cheryl or Mary Anderson asap.  Thank you to those who have already done so!!

Greenbush Summer Rec Baseball registration forms are available in the office.   All registrations and payments are due by May 9th.  If you have questions, contact Teresa Hlucny at 218-689-4761.

Those interested in the Star Shooter camp on June 9th should see Mr. Christian or get their form in ASAP.  Camp is from 8:30-Noon for Grades 8-12 and 1:00-4:30 for Grades 5-7 (next year’s grade).  Space is limited.  We have about 12 spots left open for the older level and about 30 spots left open for the younger group.
Summer softball sign-ups are due April 30th.  No late registrations will be taken.
Boys basketball players.  So far we have tournaments lined up for June 13th (Bemidji), June 18-20th (Mayville), June 26th (Moorhead) and July 10th NCTC.  There also may be one additional tournament.  If interested contact Coach Christian and let him know which ones you are interested in. There may be a small fee depending on how many guys sign up and how many teams we put together.

5th and 6th grade volleyball:  There is a 4x4 volleyball tournament May 3 at 12 PM in Stephen.  Cost is $25 per team.  Because this is independent from summer JOs, you would be responsible for finding a coach and the registration fee.  Please contact Coach Dahl if interested or for more information.
