This is the last week to check out GMR art teacher, Debra Aune’s solo art exhibit open at the Riverwalk Art Center, 211 Demers, East Grand Forks. (Or, as Mrs. Aune says, “It’s across from Cabela’s.”)

MIDQUARTER is Friday, April 24th.

We have “GATOR FINGERS” for sale!  They are $3.00 each or 2 for $5.00…perfect for cheering on your favorite Gator!!  Stop in the office to get yours!

NOTICE TO BGMR SPORTS FANS…For the most up-to-date schedule of sporting events check out the Gator Athletic Schedules on the GMR School website.  You can also sign up to be notified of any sport changes.  

The Sports Trainer will be here on Tuesday’s.   Sign up in the office if you need to see her.  We will post the schedule on the bulletin board and give you a pass on Tuesday morning.  “YOU” will be responsible for checking your time and coming to your appt.

There will be NO Green Acres 4-H meeting this Sunday, it will be rescheduled.

ENVIROTHON will be held at Agassiz next Wednesday, April 22nd.

SENIORS:
The Honker is asking all seniors to send a graduation photo for a senior full page.  Please email to super33@wiktel.com. The GB Pharmacy has extras of the senior class flower (the sunflower) if you would like to purchase for another parent or for your grad party.

ROBOTICS:
There will be a mandatory robotics meeting for all robotics students today during block 4 in Anderson's room.  

TARGET:
TARGET TEAM will meet on Wednesday’s throughout the rest of the year during either 1st or 2nd Homerooms in Mr. Janicke’s room.

MUSIC:
Pop Singers will meet on Tuesdays during 2nd Homeroom starting next week.
Jazz Band will meet on Thursday’s during 2nd Homeroom.

PROM:
If students would like pictures put into a prom slideshow, please e-mail your pictures to Aunica Novacek at anovacek@middleriver.k12.mn.us .

SPORTS:
Track Memory Mate pictures will be on April 23rd in Karlstad.  See Cheryl if you need a picture envelope.

Any boys in grades 9-12 who are interested in playing in a summer league in TRF during the month of June should contact Mr. Christian. Games are on Sunday night and will be held at NCTC.

Seniors:  Roseau Electric Cooperative is offering a $500 scholarship to families who are part of the REC.  If your family is, sign up with Mrs. Lieberg and get a form to fill out with information.  You will take a test at a later date. 




GMR School Community Education Classes

AARP Smart Driver Class – This class is a driver improvement course especially designed for mature drivers.  The course helps drivers refine existing skills and develop safe, defensive driving techniques.  There are no tests.  Upon successful completion of this course, you will be eligible to receive a state-mandated discount on your auto insurance premiums. The cost is $20.00 and AARP members receive a $5.00 discount. Micky Hulst is the instructor. Two classes will be offered, so you can pick the one that best fits your schedule.  The first class will be Thursday, April 16 at the GMR School Library in Greenbush from 5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.  The second class is Thursday, April 23 from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Middle River Community Center.

Internet Security - How to Protect Yourself Online - At this class you will receive tips and strategies for protecting yourself and your personal information online.  The class will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the GMR School Library in Greenbush beginning at 5:00 p.m.  The instructor is Mara Gust.  Cost: $5.00.

Intro to Social Networking - If you've thought of signing up for Twitter or Instagram and are wondering how to get started, this class is for you. Both of these social media tools are now wildly popular. Come see why millions of users have flocked to these sites.  The class will be held on Tuesday, April 28 at 5:00 p.m. with Mara Gust as instructor at the GMR School Library at Greenbush.  Cost is $5:00
